Rob is a dedicated martial artist and respected instructor within the Shaolin Kickboxing community. He began his training several years ago and earned his black belt on 29 October 2013. Since then, Rob has remained a consistent and committed presence at the St Albans (Westminster Lodge) branch, where he serves as Assistant Instructor under the guidance of the Chief Instructor.

Rob’s passion for martial arts is matched by his reliability and technical versatility. He is proficient in both the traditional Shaolin syllabus and modern kickboxing techniques and is known for his ability to adapt his teaching style to suit students of all ages and experience levels. His approachable manner and clear instruction make him a valued mentor to beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

In recognition of his continued dedication and skill development, Rob was awarded his 2nd Degree Black Belt on 3 September 2023—a milestone that reflects his deep commitment to the art and his ongoing pursuit of excellence.

Rob’s enthusiasm for martial arts extends beyond personal achievement. He now trains alongside his daughter, Darcy, whose presence in class adds a vibrant and inspiring dynamic. Together, they exemplify the family-friendly spirit of Shaolin Kickboxing and demonstrate how martial arts can foster connection, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Rob plays an active role in supporting the growth of the Shaolin community in Hertfordshire, and his classes are known for their energy, inclusivity, and strong technical foundation.
