Ben brings nearly three decades of martial arts experience to the Shaolin Kickboxing community. He began his training in 1996, focusing primarily on kickboxing, and has trained in multiple cities across the UK, including Manchester, Bradford, and London, before joining Shaolin Kickboxing in 2013.

In November 2023, Ben earned his black belt, a reflection of his long-standing commitment to the discipline and his technical proficiency. Known for his thoughtful approach and attention to detail, Ben is both a dedicated student and a skilled instructor. His teaching style is marked by patience, precision, and a deep respect for the art.

Ben runs the class at the Bushey Growv Leisure Centre but continues to support the Harpenden branch under Master Neil Shipley and trains with  Gerry at Mill Hill and the Chief Instructor at the Kings Langley and St Albans locations.

He is the Shaolin Health and Safety Officer with responsibility to develop, implement and monitor safety policies, to prevent  accidents and injuries, ensuring compliance with legislation by conducting risk assessments,  inspections, relevant training and investigations, ultimately promoting a positive safety culture across the Club’s activities. 

His broad experience and consistent training make him a valuable asset to the Shaolin Kickboxing team, and a trusted guide for students at all levels.
