What You Will Learn
We teach focus, self-discipline, control and strength of body and mind. A healthy and focused mind is of critical importance in martial arts as indeed in all walks of life!
Self Defence
We strongly emphasise the importance of technique and practical application, particularly when it comes to learning our effective methods of self-defence.
strength & mental focus
Whatever your size or build, however strong, flexible or fit you are, everyone has the potential to achieve a level of athleticism and skill they would not have thought possible.
balance & coordination
Although the movements will initially seem complicated and confusing, with regular training they will become easier to follow and more natural.

reasons to start shaolin kickboxing
You will learn to defend yourself, and gain self-confidence, strength, and mental focus. You will also increase your fitness level, balance and coordination.
Our training will condition and tone the whole of your body and you will improve your posture and flexibility. You will become self-motivated and cope better in stressful situations. But most importantly you will make new friends and have fun.
Whilst Shaolin Kickboxing is a full contact style the safety of beginners is our number one concern and active steps are taken to ensure this. All instructors are highly qualified, with additional first aid training, and will be able to guide and advise you in all aspects of training.
why shaolin kickboxing?
All styles have their own advantages and disadvantages, but there are some key questions any beginners should ask themselves before starting with a style…
- Is there a good balance between fitness & strength training, stretching, martial arts techniques and sparring?
- Are the techniques practical?
- Will I learn to defend myself in a street situation?
- Will the boxing techniques I learn incorporate the skills of western boxers?
- Is the style predominantly “stand-up”?
- If so, can I also learn throwing and grappling techniques?
- Will I be able to trust, respect and learn from the instructors?
- Will I be able to improve and then progress as I train?
- Will I be encouraged to achieve my potential?
- Will the environment be friendly and welcoming?
- Will I be safe?
…And of course, the answer to all of these with Shaolin Kickboxing is YES!
