Kingsley Morgan

CEng, MCIBSE, MIET

World-Class Martial Artist | Professional Boxing Trainer | Founder of Shaolin Kickboxing

Kingsley is not merely a martial artist. He is a visionary force in the evolution of combat sports. With a rare blend of technical mastery, engineering precision, and deep cultural insight, he has carved out a legacy that bridges tradition and innovation, discipline and empowerment.

A Global Competitor with Unmatched Credentials

Over the course of nineteen years, he has competed on the international stage, earning respect and admiration from peers and opponents alike. His record over sixty fights with only two defeats is not just impressive: it’s historic. These victories span multiple disciplines and continents, culminating in championship titles at the World, European, and British levels. His fighting style is marked by strategic brilliance, fluid adaptability, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

Architect of Champions

“King’s” influence extends far beyond his own achievements. As a senior trainer at the legendary Finchley Boxing Gym, he helped shape the career of Derek Chisora, one of Britain’s most formidable heavyweight boxers. Chisora’s rise to challenge Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title and his reign over the British, Commonwealth, and European belts is a testament to the calibre of mentorship Morgan provides.

His coaching résumé also includes collaborations with elite athletes such as:

  • Tysie Gallagher, Women’s Super-Bantamweight World Champion
  • James DeGale, former IKF Super-Middleweight Champion
  • Daniel Dubois, WBA Heavyweight Title Holder (2022–2023)

Engineer of a New Martial Philosophy

Holding professional engineering credentials (CEng, MCIBSE, MIET), King  brings a unique analytical lens to martial arts. This fusion of logic and combat led to the creation of Shaolin Kickboxing—a modern discipline that synthesizes:

  • The spiritual depth of traditional Chinese martial arts
  • The explosive power of Muay Thai
  • The technical precision of Western boxing

Shaolin Kickboxing is not just a style — it’s a movement. With thriving clubs in London, Hertfordshire, and beyond, it has become a beacon for those seeking authentic, effective, and transformative martial arts training.

Community Leader & Advocate

Mr. Morgan’s impact reaches into the heart of the community. He has hosted youth boxing sessions to combat crime and anti-social behaviour, volunteered at educational centres for children with behavioural challenges, and championed self-defence programs for women in response to rising concerns about public safety.

His accolades include:

  • Sports Coach of the Year (2007) – Hertfordshire Sports Partnership
  • Volunteers’ Champion Award – Hertfordshire Black and Ethnic Minority Partnership

Philosophy & Legacy

What began as a childhood dream has evolved into a lifelong mission: to empower individuals through martial arts. At Shaolin Kickboxing Club, students don’t just learn to fight, they learn to grow. The club’s ethos, “Our Art. Our Club. Our Communities” reflects a culture of respect, resilience, and shared purpose.

King’s journey is not just his own it’s a path walked by every student who steps into his class. Under his guidance, martial arts become more than a skill; it becomes a way of life.

Awards

In 2007 Kingsley was presented with the award of Sports Coach of the year by Hertfordshire Sports Partnerships.
In the same year The Hertfordshire Black and Ethnic Minority Partnership presented him with a special award in recognition of his contribution to volunteering and for being a volunteers' champion.
